A message for some people today about knowing and understanding when God chastises His Children. We face several issues in our lifes and most times, most people say Satan is the one at work. Thereby they begin to rebuke and bind, bind, bind and that every spirit should die, die, die & die.
It is not everything that we face that should regarded as satanic. Sometimes God does in form of discipline but again I want to stress out here that we must be able to identify and differentiate when God disciplines us as His dear Children from when Satan is the one at work. In Proverbs 3:11-12 states “My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline, and do not resent His rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those He loves, as a father the son he delights in.”
So the question is, how do we identify when God does?
- Conflict. We will experience internal conflict when the Holy Spirit gives us a sense of restlessness, insufficiency, and doubt over our course of action. Repentance & fellowshipping with the spirit of God usually clears this.
- Cost. Disobedience is always costly when we don’t do the right thing, in the right time, and in the right way. The life of Jonah is a clear example, its cost many who did not know anything when Jonah was in their ship- (Jonah 1:4-6).
- Confusion: The story of the Tower of babel gives us an indication on when God discipline His children. Not only were their plans frustrated, but God accomplished His will despite them, as they scattered over the surface of the earth. If God wants you to lead people to praise Him in your church and you are running away, I can assure you that it won’t be easy with you at all.
So therefore, examine you situations today to know if God is the one disciplining you or the devil that is at work. This will enable you pray accordingly because rebuking and binding God in your prayers is like a man fetching water in to a basket that is never going to yield any results.
