The Bible commands believers to be patient in Psalm 37:7. “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes”.

Impatience has been a major problem for many believers in Christ Jesus and has rubbed many of their numerous promises of God for their life’s. Most people don’t have any problems in praying but they simply can’t wait for God’s time to allow things manifest on the outside. Some even give up or profer solutions for themselves and thereby neglecting the place of awaiting upon God.

Sometimes we need to let go of our own will to allow God’s will prevail in particular area of His promises. Part of what God was teaching Abraham during those 25 years of waiting was the need to fully let go of his own will. God promised Abraham that he would be a father of many nations but that did not happen until after after 25years. One of the most neglected areas of a Christian life is in the area of Waiting upon God. God does not respond or act according to our emotions. He responds or give answers in His own time.

When we ask our earthly fathers for stuffs that we need they do not just give them immediately without first of all weighing or knowing the intentions behind such requests. Only when such requests are fit for purpose that our parents responds right? The same way it is with our God. If it’s not the appropriate time God is not obliged to release requests. In Romans 8:25 “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” In others words there is a place of waiting patiently because in due season results are bound to come.

God bless.
